Brunswick County, Virginia – Circuit Court Appeal of Reckless Driving Conviction Attorney Case Result

Driver was found guilty of a reckless driving misdemeanor charge by the General District Court for speeding 54/25 (29-mph over the limit).  On appeal to the Circuit Court, the charge was REDUCED to improper driving.  Unlike reckless driving, which is a misdemeanor charge that carries (-) 6 points on a driving record point balance for 11 years, improper driving is a traffic infraction and only carries (-3) points on a driving record point balance for 3 years.
